About Our Client
Our client is a diversified real estate firm that specializes in development, design, and construction. The Construction Assistant Superintendent will help lead with a team of construction professionals. They deliver solutions by integrating with an ownership team and actively managing projects from concept through completion, assuming 100% responsibility for all phases of each project.

  • Liaising with inspection authorities regarding approvals.
  • Ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Maintaining records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders and RFIs.
  • Coordinating and overseeing all work on site.
  • Managing the on-site construction team.
  • Following the project time line to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Attending production meetings.
  • Reviewing and becoming familiar with the schedule and budget, and ensuring adherence to these.
  • Placing orders for materials, and being responsible for equipment and materials on site.

The Successful Applicant
  • The ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Experience with Scheduling
  • 2+ years of experience with a commercial contractor or equivalent industry experience
  • Good time management skills
  • In depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and manpower
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification
  • Demonstrated leadership ability of project teams with successful outcomes
  • Proficient in basic use and functions of a personal computer
