The Assistant Showroom Manager’s primary function is to support the Showroom Manager in the daily operations of Caracole’s Atlanta Showroom to ensure that overall company directives and goals are achieved.
Daily and Year-Round Duties:
• Responsible for making sure that all company policies, procedures, and controls are followed.
• Assist with daily showroom operations.
• Take responsibility for preparing the showroom for business and making sure all closing tasks are done before the end of the day.
• Assist the Showroom Manager with greeting and interacting with customers to provide a welcoming, positive, and efficient sales experience.
• Assist designers and buyers with product details and custom options for couture furniture.
• Develop customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Provide sales support, including answering questions, assisting with product selections, and writing quotes and sales orders.
• Promote sales by performing product demonstrations and by providing detailed knowledge and expertise of both new and existing product lines.
• Serve as a liaison between the Showroom Manager and customers.
• Set up new customer accounts, process daily orders and coordinate payments.
• Assist the Showroom Manager in taking ownership of showroom sales goals by tracking showroom orders and daily sales records and setting and achieving team-specific sales goals.
• Provide customer service by serving as a liaison with Caracole’s customer service department and corporate office in High Point, NC.
• Coordinate showroom appointments and visits and send out follow-up communications with customers between markets.
• Suggest ways to increase sales and improve business.
• Maintain showroom product merchandising, cleanliness, and showroom organization to company standards.
• Maintain high standards for showroom appearance and visuals by ensuring the showroom is properly maintained and stocked.
• Assist with managing custodial staff.
• Maintain organization and update both discontinued and
incoming new finish samples and swatches.
• Assist with removal of deleted and discontinued floor samples.
• Assist with twice annual Atlanta showroom inventory count.
• Assist with twice annual Atlanta showroom resets for trade shows.
• Maintain Atlanta showroom sample, accessories, office supply, and tool inventory.
• Represent the Showroom Manager and the company’s interests when the Showroom Manager is not present.
• Assist with the planning, organizing and implementation of showroom events.
Trade Show Duties:
• Provide customer service at the front desk.
• Provide support to Caracole sales and corporate staff.
• Input new customer data.
• Process orders/invoices and payments.
• Assist with hospitality planning and supply procurement.
• Maintain kitchen and brand ambassador lounge organization and cleanliness.
• Daily set up of food, beverage and hospitality areas and maintenance throughout the day.
• Maintain supply and display of showroom catalogs.
• Maintain organization of showroom swatch and finish samples.
