Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Image Processor and Editor to join our creative team. As an Image Processor and Editor, you will be responsible for handling a wide range of tasks related to image curation, processing, editing, and management. Your primary role will be to ensure the consistent quality and visual appeal of our images, adhering to company procedures and workflows. This is a critical position that requires a keen eye for detail, technical proficiency in image processing software, and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Cull photos as directed: Review and evaluate a large volume of images, selecting the best ones based on specific criteria and guidelines provided by the team or clients.
  2. Process and edit photos: Utilize industry-standard image processing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom) to enhance the visual appeal, color correction, exposure adjustment, and cropping of images while maintaining their authenticity and aesthetic consistency.
  3. Photoshop minor blemishes as requested: Retouch photos by removing minor imperfections, such as dust spots, scratches, or unwanted objects, as per the instructions or client requests, while preserving the integrity of the original image.
  4. Utilize internal workflows and systems: Follow established internal processes, workflows, and software tools to efficiently manage and track the progress of image processing and editing tasks. Collaborate with team members and maintain effective communication throughout the production pipeline.
  5. Export, categorize, rename, and upload images: Prepare finalized images for various purposes, such as web publishing, print, or digital media. Apply consistent naming conventions, categorize images based on relevant criteria, and upload them to the designated platforms or repositories following company procedures.
  6. Maintain image library organization: Ensure the orderly arrangement and accessibility of processed and edited images by categorizing, tagging, and archiving them appropriately. Facilitate easy retrieval and tracking of images as needed.
  7. Quality control and attention to detail: Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure that images meet the required specifications, standards, and client expectations. Pay meticulous attention to detail, consistency, and accuracy in all aspects of image processing and editing.

Qualifications:

  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics and visual consistency.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard image formats, resolutions, and compression techniques.
  • Familiarity with digital photography principles and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with file management and image library organization.
  • A portfolio demonstrating your image processing and editing skills is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of color correction, exposure adjustment, and cropping techniques.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in image processing software, such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
  • Experience in retouching images and removing minor blemishes using Photoshop tools.
