Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor is currently searching for an Assistant Golf Professional!

Welcome to Aileron Golf Club at Sunseeker Resorts. A Luxury Private Club - designed exclusively for our Resort Guests, where we are dedicated to building a world class golf experience. Aileron is a Parkland style course located just minutes from our flagship resort on Charlotte Harbor.

The Assistant Golf Professional is responsible for assisting the Head Golf Professional with all golf shop activities and outside services operations and is responsible for ensuring guests receive outstanding customer service, which meets or exceeds their expectations. The Assistant Golf Professional is integral is assisting with golf events, tournaments, outings, leagues, teaching clinics, and other golf programs designed to improve the Club’s products and services as well as its competitive position in the marketplace.

All duties are performed in accordance with department and Sunseeker Resorts policies, practices and procedures

Job Duties

  • Daily review of golf club shipments via Ship Sticks or other carriers.
  • Update professional staff and golf services team of any additions made throughout the day.
  • Participates in the Tournament Operations, Retail assignments, and Instruction with the Golf Academy, given the status through the PGA Program.
  • Assist with assigned tournament details and Group Golf functions.
  • Assist with daily staff schedules to ensure proper coverage based on play demands.
  • Responsible for daily set-up and continued care for welcome areas, parking lot, practice facilities, clubhouse, club & cart storage, and departures.
  • Coordinates member & guests special orders, tee times, access to partner golf courses, and assists club groups with tournament access.
  • Oversees the rental set inventory and equipment is maintained, updated, and functional.
  • Maintain shop displays and inventory levels on the floor.
  • Work in conjunction with restaurant team to coordinate pre-booked beverage packages to be set in golf carts.
  • Coordinate with transportation delivery of guests and golf bags.
  • Ensure Guest Services team has materials needed to preset next day setup.
  • This position will rotate to serve as valet attendant, pro shop attendant, starter, ranger, if necessary, as well as an instructor at the academy.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Sunseeker Resorts performs criminal background checks on all candidates. Candidates will need to be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Pre-employment drug screenings are required for this position as a condition of employment.

  • BA / BS degree in Hospitality, Business, Golf Management, or related field.
  • Golf Academy experience a plus and / or Teaching certifications from accredited programs.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience of private or resort club, preferably as an Assistant Golf Professional.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
  • PGA Class “A” Member in good standing. May consider strong Level II or III Associate with a clear path to soon acquire PGA membership.
