Assistant Director of Recruitment & Outreach

Job Overview

The UC Office of Undergraduate Admissions is searching for an Assistant Director of Recruitment & Outreach who will lead a team of territory managers in UC's primary and targeted markets in Kentucky and Indiana for recruitment. This position will report to the Associate Director of Admissions, Recruitment & Outreach and be an integral part of creating and implementing recruitment strategies to fulfill UC's Strategic Sizing Enrollment Goals. Responsibilities will also include reading applications, managing a recruitment territory in Northern Kentucky and assisting with events.

This position will offer flexibility for a hybrid remote work option for applicants within the Cincinnati Tri-State Area. The hybrid arrangement is typically 3 in-office and 2 remote workdays per week outside of the fall recruiting season travel schedule. Hybrid remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies.  

Essential Functions

  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
  • Assist in the determination of policies and procedures for the recruitment and admission of students.
  • Assist in determining budget needs for respective areas.
  • Represent Office of Admissions at state and national professional meetings, college fairs, etc.
  • With the Associate Director of Admissions for Recruitment and Outreach, develop targets/goals for territory markets and utilize data-based decision making to implement and review recruitment strategies.
  • With the Associate Director of Admissions for Recruitment and Outreach, develop targets/goals for territory markets in Kentucky and Indiana and utilize data-based decision making to implement and review recruitment strategies.
  • Coordinate admission of students including counseling students and parents, reviewing applications, determining eligibility, and recommending alternatives whenever appropriate.
  • Advise and maintain liaison with the directors of various projects and special programs on campus and in outside agencies regarding admission of target populations.
  • Lead efforts associated with a function of the Office of Admissions such as recruitment, communications, events/visits, operations and processing, or the recruitment of strategic populations and associated programs.

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree.

Required Experience

  • Three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Some positions may require specialized experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered

  • Experience in project management and customer service, and familiarity with customer relationship management systems.
