SUMMARY
Individual contributor responsible for assisting with the creation of commercially viable Artwork/ Designs across collections. Coordinate and deliver brand -right designs that tie back to the overall concept and business strategy, encompassing style, color, illustration/print for new/existing product lines. Applies a solid working knowledge of fashion/decor trends and consumer needs to product designs. Work may involve, reworking designs, customizing typography, color adjustments, resizing design elements and eliminating any inconsistencies. The Assistant Designer will be involved in the project from start to finish and will work closely as part of a creative team to ensure that the artwork meets the needs of the brief intent and any brand guidelines. Applies a solid working knowledge of the design process and the requirements for producing finalized artwork and design extensions. Demonstrates a passion for the brand, inspires individuals and relies on limited experience to plan and accomplish goals.
Specifically, This Position Will
- Correct and format documents before they're sent to partners
- Supports back-End Process with legal reviews, Production Turn Overs, Submission reviews, Mechanical reviews, press approvals, maintain server organization
- Supports design projects with guided direction, assists in developing pre-production samples
- Assists in partnering with Merchant and Product Development teams to ensure the alignment of the designs during the product development process
- Ensure artwork is consistent, accurate and follows any brand guidelines
- Adapt existing artwork to alternative layouts and/or formats
- Set up, manage and archive accurate artwork files and supply to relevant stakeholders
- Responsible for completion of spec and passing completed spec to Production teams
- Assist in conceptualizing multiple creative solutions to address project strategies with multiple design options within the cost parameters
- Work closely with and support the creative team to follow designs and artwork from their conception to final sign-off
- Assists to drive the creative process to prototype level for category
- Assist in creating products, which represent the BBW brand strategy from a seasonal perspective

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS &
EXPERIENCE
- High level execution, organization and design skills with a methodical approach to work and meticulous attention to detail the ability to work to deadlines
- Drawing and computer illustration skills; curate and create corporate Artwork across a range of formats using Adobe Creative Cloud and programs such as Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
- Understanding of fabrication and material costs a plus
- Communication skills to engage with designers, printers, and to provide progress updates at every stage of the design and artwork process
- Strong sense of design and color plus demonstrated expertise in hard goods and soft goods
- Self-motivation and the ability to work on multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment
- 1-3 years of experience in product development or design
- Proven ability to take instructions and follow direction from other professionals such as designers
- Experience with archiving images and artwork
- Understanding of customer-specific product issues
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to know when to ask for help
- Strong fashion sense with ability to translate into product assortment; bility to communicate and articulate trends
