Assistant City Manager for the City of Novi, MI

The City of Novi, MI, a beautiful community of 60,000+, seeks qualified applicants for the position of Assistant City Manager. The Assistant City Manager works under the general guidance and direction of the City Manager and demands a high level of responsibility to support the City Manager in public policy for motion and implementation, representing the City Manager and the City of Novi. This employee is responsible for strategic, supervisory, and administrative work in the direction, coordination, operation, and maintenance of all functions of the City of Novi and the delivery of quality services to the public.

Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Public/Business Administration or related field required with achievement of a Master's Degree strongly preferred in Public Administration (or closely related equivalent) with relative course work; five years of more of management and supervisory experience in local government, with budget and employee work-force responsibilities similar to the City of Novi; has a record of continuing education, professional association involvement, and similar activities.

Salary: Dependent upon qualifications and experience. Current salary range is $125,000 - $150,000, with a comprehensive benefits package
