We strive to add hardworking people to our team and we are currently seeking an Assistant Athletic Trainer in our Athletics department.

Your day to day:

  • Make appropriate physician’s referrals and appointments.
  • Assist with the coordination of purchasing and use of all equipment and supplies needed in the operation of the Athletic Training Room.
  • Assist with the management of the Athletic Training Room budgets, policies, equipment and facilities to maintain optimal health, safety and welfare of all individuals.
  • Maintain and manage student-athlete insurance information and file insurance claims as needed.
  • Work with the Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Medicine, the athletic training staff, and team physicians to deliver a high standard of health care for division one intercollegiate athletes.
  • Assist and oversee the care, prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries to student-athletes.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of Athletic Department Emergency Action Plan and health/environmental related policies.
  • Execute administrative duties.
  • Adhere to and comply with PFW, any Conference affiliate, and the NCAA applicable rules, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Document all injuries and treatment progress in athlete’s medical record. Write reports as required.
  • Organize and maintain all medical records in accordance with federal and state regulations.
  • Participate and assist with the operations and activities of the Athletic Department.
  • Communicate with physicians and coaching staff regarding the injury status of athletes.
  • Assist in providing professional development to interns and clinical rotation students as assigned.
  • Attend Athletic and/or Departmental meetings as required.
  • Assist team with travel planning related to student-athlete health & wellbeing, as well as driving responsibilities if needed.
  • Adhere to the Scope of Practice Standards of an Athletic Trainer as outlined by the Board of Certification and the Indiana Board of Athletic Trainers.
