Southbridge Public Schools serve approximately 2,200 students in six schools. The district is presently undergoing extensive turnaround at all levels, with the assistance of the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. This creates unique opportunities for teachers and students. One example is a long-term partnership with the University of Connecticut to develop Southbridge Schools to be a national demonstration site for successful implementation of PBIS strategies. Additionally, the district is the recipient of a number of significant grants that allow Secondary School redesign, curriculum enhancements, improved culture and climate and afterschool opportunities for students. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the oversight of game operations involving facilities, event management, security, and equipment in accordance with applicable MIAA, SWCL League, and SMHS governing principles, policies, and procedures. Assists the AD in the implementation of game management duties, coordinating officials for home events, and provides assistance pre- and post-game to coaches.
• Involved with overall Athletics Department evaluation and planning; ensures appropriate clearance processes are in place to ensure quality.
• Collaborates with AD and SPS District Office staff to maintain and update the Athletics website; assists AD with daily announcements, weekly schedules, and updates for Athletics Department on social media.
• Provides leadership, direction, and management for Athletics events as assigned.
• Manages uniform, apparel, and equipment supplies for Athletics Department, including all SMHS teams.

Hours: Up to 19 hours per week

Hourly rate: $30.00
