Job Description
Alleghany Highlands Community Services provides services and support to individuals in our community with behavioral health challenges and intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Assistant Administrator provides support to employees providing care in a nine-bed Intermediate Care Facility, provides training, coaching, and mentoring to direct support professionals and certified nursing assistants, and provides care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Provides oversight of the daily operations of the facility and care provided to the residents with coordination of the ICF Residential Administrator. This position provides training, assistance, and oversight to employees in the provision of active treatment services, including assessment, development, documentation, and evaluation of individual program plans. The team lead must exercise professionalism when in contact with staff, individuals, families, and other service providers.
The team lead will work alternating shifts with the administrator including evenings and weekends. The team lead ensures the safety and security of residents, assisting them with routine medication administration and personal care. The team lead ensures compliance with HIPPA, Human Rights, Licensure, DMAS, and federal, state, and local laws
Requirements
  • Considerable experience in a supervisory capacity (preferred)
  • Considerable experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities required
  • Valid Driver's License (required)
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field or LPN/RN license in the State of Virginia required
Responsibilities
  • Provides initial and ongoing training including but not limited to active treatment, individual program plans, documentation, adaptive equipment, special diets, behavior plans, adaptive equipment, program policies and procedures, and use of the electronic health record.
  • Provide oversight of documentation for compliance for timely submission and compliance with regulatory guidelines
  • Assists with scheduling and coordinating house activities.
  • Assures the continuous provision of person-centered active treatment for individuals
