Position Summary

The Asset Protection Teammate’s primary responsibilities for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in the DH. They utilize tools to minimize loss to the Company, including but not limited to identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring the DH’s physical security, and driving a shrink elimination culture. Working Shift: Saturday-Tuesday (5AM-3:30PM)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Educate DH employees on asset protection, shrinkage, and impact on the business
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various departments.
  • Must be able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with operating management while leading objective internal audits.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver well-written investigative reports, and verbal presentations, addressing critical risks and sensitive information to operational management.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting your apprehensions and recoveries, preserving evidence, interacting with law enforcement, and testifying in criminal and civil court actions.
  • Ensure adherence to C-TPAT requirements
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Complete daily patrols to ensure compliance with all physical security controls
  • Monitor and record incoming and outgoing flow at the entrance of DH
  • Assist in maintaining all aspects of access control
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general statements, key performance indicators, investigative reports, technical procedures, and policy and procedure.
  • Assist in supervising contract security guards
  • Ensure trailer seal controls are in place
  • Assist as needed in investigations of DH acts of theft and fraud
  • Interface with other departments including, but not limited to DH, Information Technology, Legal, HR, and Retail.
  • Communicate concerns regarding DH acts of theft and fraud
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality when conducting investigations

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experienced in distribution center policies, procedures, and best practices related to physical security systems, oversight of contract security, cargo security practices, and workplace violence.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated skill to inspire and motivate others to perform well.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must possess good communication, organizational, time management, and personal skills.

Education And / Or Experience

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; ability to follow detailed instructions both written and verbally; ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures; ability to apply concepts of basic math. Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with digital camera systems and card access software
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems; warehouse control systems, Excel, running reports, and interpreting and communicating data/metrics.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; 6 months warehouse experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical/Other Requirements

  • Frequent or continuous standing, lifting, walking, and bending.
  • The essential functions of the job are usually performed indoors and may rarely be performed outdoors, including during both hot and cold weather. Work performed will be near or involving moving mechanical equipment. Work may be performed at heights of up to 50 feet.
  • Vision abilities depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Able to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment.
  • Regularly handles objects, tools, and/or controls; reaches with arms; uses cutting device to open or break down cartons.
  • Working Shift: Saturday-Tuesday (5AM-3:30PM)
  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our or global headquarters in Baltimore, MD
  • May frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds overhead.

Relocation

  • Base compensation range: $20.75-$25.98 hourly

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual’s relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
