A.s.q.i.s. Teacher (Male)

MAB A.S.Q.I.S. (After School Quran & Islamic Studies) Teacher will be responsible for teaching the MAB A.S.Q.I.S. Students the recitation of the Quran with proper Tajweed. The teacher may be required to cover classes in one of the two MAB locations (MAI & MAJ), and work directly under the supervision of the MAB A.S.Q.I.S. Director. Pay will be competitive as per the applicants skills.

Days & Hours: Monday through Thursday (4:30 PM to 6:30 PM)

Qualifications

• Should be in proper Islamic attire
• College Graduate
• Fluency in reading Quran with proper Tajweed
• Someone who is Motivated and will engage students positively
• Fluency in English for proper communication between students, parents and MAB personnel
• Good interpersonal skills

Responsibility

• Work closely under the direction of Maktab Director
• Work as a team member with current and future teachers
• Recording daily attendance and progress
• Engage with all persons and organizations, Muslim and Non Muslim in a way that positively reflects on Islam
• Follow MAB Maktab Guidelines
• Arrive to class 15 minutes before and leave 15 minutes after class
• Complete training with Maktab Director on etiquettes and rules of teaching the class

Good to Have:

• Experience teaching Quran to children
• Experience teaching Islamic studies
• Hafiz-e-Quran (preferred)
