Summary:
Evaluates and treats patient populations for therapy needs.

Work Schedule: Full Time Days

Responsibilities:
Performs initial and on-going assessments of patient's condition and needs. Develops and implements therapeutic interventions appropriate to treatment goals.

Performs interventions utilizing art therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age, condition, and needs of the patient or group served. Designs, coordinates and provides art therapy services and programs for a variety of patient and community populations.

Documents patient information, therapy provided, feedback and results.

Serves as a resource to the organization regarding art therapy. May supervise art therapists, students and interns.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
  • Required Licensure/Certification: Registered as an Art Therapist (ATR) AND Board-Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) by the Art Therapy Credentials Board (ATCB).
  • Minimum Required Education: Master's degree in Art Therapy.
  • Minimum Experience: None Required. Preferred: 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting.

The pay range for this position is: $23.49 - $30.53 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
