MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interfaces with service group personnel on technical and production problems
• Complies with the terms of local and national labor agreements
• Trains, develops and evaluates employees
• Implements the Nexteer Production System.
• Maintains corporate and unit management control systems, cost, quality and schedules
• Ensures adherence to recommended safety procedures and good housekeeping practices
• Regular contact with others outside the work group
• Maintains scorecard performance to budget and coordinates assigning key tasks to support resources based on data in the scorecard to meet or exceed budget requirements
• Participates in the selection of new employees
• Keeps management informed of key developments.

QUALIFICATIONS:
DEGREE: BACHELORS - PREFERRED
MAJOR: ENGINEERING OR BUSINESS

• Relatively high level of analytical ability where problems are complex
• Knowledge of quality control procedures, manufacturing processes, scheduling and other management systems.
• High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees and elicit work output
• Knowledge and experience in the principles and application of the Nexteer Production System
• Knowledge of basic technology of area supervised
• Must have 3-5 years of manufacturing experience
• Ability to work alternate shifts/work schedules
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills
