SSOE is looking to hire an Architectural Designer to join our team allowing the selected individual with the opportunity to participate in the design of state-of-the-art industrial and manufacturing facilities for the world’s leading companies.


As an Architectural Designer, you will be responsible for working with other contributing mid-senior level Architects and design teams to create exciting and complex designs that incorporate some of the latest design techniques, while ensuring that all specifications are met, and to ensure timely completion of projects.


Responsibilities


S SOE is looking for an Architectural Designer to join our team for automotive and industrial projects. SSOE is currently involved in projects that will shape the global infrastructure and manufacturing sectors for decades to come! We have many exciting projects on the boards, such as Battery Electrical Vehicle manufacturing, Battery Manufacturing (Battery Electrical Vehicle and Battery Energy Storage), Battery Recycling, and semiconductor manufacturing, and the associated People spaces that come with these campuses! Our current business pursuits also include pharmaceutical R&D and manufacturing, High Tech Research and Development, and a growing footprint in the General Building (Traditional Architecture) sectors. This position will be part of a diverse team of Architects and Design Professionals located in 5 US states, Mexico, and India.


This role will involve learning from an experienced team of architects, affording an amazing opportunity to complete all NCARB AXP Experience Hours in one organization. Our team encourages leadership at all levels, and is seeking motivated, talented teammates to teach the legacy staff new design tools and methodologies of practicing Architecture.


  • Performs elementary architectural assignments and generally works from designs of others, compiles data, performs simple design studies and evaluations, estimates quantity take-offs, and assists in preparation of cost estimates with increasing responsibility based on performance.
  • Drafts own and others designs into completed working drawings.
  • Works under the direction of a project architect; receives specific and detailed instruction as to required tasks and results.
  • Applies academic knowledge and training in the use of various building materials and systems.
  • May be assisted by a REVIT designer but usually assumes no responsibility for direction of others.
  • Completes entry level assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities.
  • Travel required.


Qualifications


  • Exceptions may be based upon equivalencies.
  • Associates or Bachelor of Architecture Degree required with little or no practical working experience.
  • Salary Range: $48,000 - $56,000 /year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
  • Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.
