AR Billing and Collections Specialist – Software – Newton, MA

We are currently seeking candidates for an AR Billing and Collections Specialist position located in Newton, MA. The opportunity is with a rapidly growing software company and the Billing Specialist will report to the Assistant Controller. The ideal candidate will have experience in both billing and collections, as well as a high attention to detail. Candidates with previous NetSuite and Salesforce experience are preferred but not required.

This is a 3 month contract to hire opportunity that will pay $45/hr and convert at an 85K-95K base salary (depending on experience level).

Responsibilities:

• Maintain A/R sub-ledgers
• Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts
• Preparing and issuing invoices
• Negotiating payment terms and resolving delinquent account
• Tracking and monitoring accounts receivable
• Communicating with customers regarding billing and payment issues
• Maintaining accurate records of all billing and collections activity
• Assist with the month-end close
• Prepare and book journal entries

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)
• Previous software industry experience (preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in billing and collections
• Bachelor’s Degree
