The Role

We are currently looking for an Application Engineer that will perform application engineering and sales support for NECI's final control systems (FCS) division. Promotes the sale of NECI’s products including valves, regulators, instrumentation, services, and process control systems. Will support the development of new and assigned accounts, projects, and business relationships exceeding client expectations.

What You’ll Do

• Prepares quotations for customer requirements utilizing NECI quotation tools and procedures. Preparation of these quotations will include sizing, selecting, and pricing products required.
• Understand the Customer’s unique requirements.
• Understand the Customer’s specific industry.
• Understand NECI’s industry development plan.
• Provides AM suggestions for enhancing business opportunities at the assigned accounts.
• Participates in internal and external projects as assigned. Projects include outage scope development, specification and review of process control systems and devices, services scope definition, service engagements etc.
• Understand and execute proper use of NECI/Emerson’s engineering tools and software programs.
• Work with assigned Account Sales Representative (s) as a member of the NECI sales team
• Understand NECI’s individual account plan for maximum account penetration.
• Attend training as needed to maintain a good technical competency on all NECI FCS product lines.
• Responds to customer inquiries utilizing NECI’s procedures and entire offering of products and/or services to provide the customer with the best solution to meet their specific need.

With this knowledge and in conjunction with the Account Manager, the Application Engineer is expected to make the most efficient decisions possible regarding each account in terms of pricing level, product offering, communication protocols, and total customer care.

• Other duties as assigned.
• Work with and support order management in conjunction with other NECI associates as required to achieve the highest customer expectations.
• Responsible for actively promoting the sale of products and services represented by NECI
• Responsible for providing uncompromising quality on all work processes. Has the authority to stop the work process at any time that is believed quality is being compromised.

What You’ll Bring

• Actively promotes a positive work environment.
• Five years of experience in the process industry
• Knowledge of valves, regulators, control systems, and instrumentation
• High level of intellectual curiosity
• BS degree in mechanical, industrial, chemical, or electrical engineering or BA degree with similar work experience in application process controls.
