Job Description
Position Summary:

The Application Analyst will be the subject matter expert for designated applications. They will provide in-depth knowledge of the specified programs and their associated business rules. The Analyst will champion the usefulness of each application by documenting the needs of the customer. They will assist the programming team by providing Level 2 troubleshooting of incidents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Produces and provides user training, especially after onboarding.
  • Monitors the health and functionality of the application.
  • Identifies enhancement opportunities.
  • Provides excellent customer service by ensuring support services are delivered to meet customer business needs and expectations.
  • Participates in IT meetings, providing leadership when appropriate.
  • Identifies and provides process improvements.
  • Assists in assigned project-based tasks.
  • Receives, logs, and manages end users' requests related to the application(s).
  • Identifies integration opportunities.
  • Acts as the Subject Matter Expert for designated applications.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Possesses a keen analytical mindset, able to quickly and thoroughly assess situations.
  • Adheres to all established ITI Service Desk processes, procedures and standards, following the ITIL-based processes.
  • Provides training and mentoring for troubleshooting 3rd party software and internally developed applications to Level 1 Analysts.
  • Provides Incident Management by receiving, logging, and managing Incidents to their resolution or escalation within the defined MTTR (Mean Time To Resolve).
  • Participates in the High/Major Incident Management Process for service restoration of high-impacting Incidents affecting the application(s).
  • Produces and executes user surveys.
  • Demonstrates the application(s) to the user and executive communities.
  • Responds to the organization's changing business requirements by adapting to changes and procedures as set forth by management.
  • Utilizes, writes, and updates articles in the Knowledge Base.
  • Reads and drafts process diagrams and technical system diagrams.
  • Acts as second/third tier escalation for user issues.
  • Provides on-call support.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to manage and administer a broad range of tasks including resolving complaints, counseling managers and employees on the interpretation of policies, procedures
  • Ability to act independently and take initiative to solve problems, implement solutions, and create new processes
  • Two or more (2+) years of professional work experience in IT support or technology team.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in a variety of situations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multiple priorities, meet demanding deadlines and adjust to sudden changes in workflow.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively present and communicate with all levels within the organization, with agencies and vendors.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think independently, take corrective action, and to resolve employee inquiries and requests for information.
  • Ability to maintain all job-related information in a confidential and private manner.
