  • Documentation of infrastructure applications and associated environments, including functionality, maintenance, administration, backup/recovery and compliance.
  • Plan/Assist in the installation, upgrade, patching and configuration of infrastructure applications and associated environments.
  • Education and Experience Requirements:* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other related field or equivalent systems administration experience.
  • SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS*

  • PAY RANGE:*Application Admin I: $55,200 - $69,000 Application Admin II: $67,500 - $84,400 Sr Application Admin: $76,400 - $101,800 Lead Application Admin: $89,900 - $119,900
  • DEPARTMENT:*Real Time Systems – Topeka General Office or 801 Charlotte (Remote Work Eligible)
  • Searches for and identifies alternative and/or innovative solutions to technical problems.
  • Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Working Conditions:* Normal office working conditions.
  • Uses planning skills to manage and complete projects on time and on budget.
  • Scheduled Work Hours:*Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Other hours as required). This role will be a combination of remote and in office work, with the ability to attend meetings on-site as appropriate. Candidates who are performing work remotely must live in Kansas or Missouri.

  • Adherence to IT infrastructure architectural standards and industry best-practices.
  • Exercises sound judgment when making decisions.

  • JOB TITLE:*Application Administrator
  • Working knowledge of business goals, corporate IT standards, strategy and service level agreements.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and takes initiative.
  • Communicates effectively with all levels of employees, both technical and non-technical.
  • Follows policies and procedures to ensure corporate compliance, examples include corporate data security, CIP compliance and change control.
  • Competencies:*
  • Assist in daily operations, backup/recovery and provides technical support/troubleshooting guidance on operational problems and implementation of new solutions on various infrastructure applications, including problem management to minimize future problems.
  • Effective project team member, at times assuming leadership role for the project.

With minimal supervision, the Application Administrator primary roles involve ownership and support of software infrastructure and application suites along with problem analytics, maintenance obligations and appropriate documentation. Candidates require a broad sense of an entire application environment not just their own as most problem management occurs outside of the normal daily functions.
  • Working knowledge of multiple operating/networking systems and enterprise applications/utilities with expertise in at least one system (including virtualization technologies).).
  • Participates in after-hours on-call rotation as required.
