Summary


We are currently hiring for an Appeals Specialist to join BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina. In this role as Appeals Specialist, you will be required to perform non-medical reviews and process redetermination letters.

Description


Logistics:


This position will be full time, Monday – Friday and held onsite at our Augusta, GA location.


What You Will Do


  • Prepare unit reports, analyze, and interpret workload, and process issues utilizing various software tools.
  • Perform non-medical reviews and process redetermination letters ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Update letters and documents within the department when necessary.
  • May gather and prepare documentation for legal inquiries and administrative requests.


What You Need To Qualify


  • Proficiency in spelling, punctuation, and grammar skills.
  • Excellent organizational, customer service, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Microsoft Office.
  • Two years job related field.
  • Good judgment skills.
