Work Schedule:

10am - 6pm Monday through Sunday; will work a 5-day schedule with rotating weekends; the clinic is closed on holidays

Requirements

• Valid Michigan Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License
• Previous occupational medicine experience preferred but not required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and CPI certification (available through Hillsdale Hospital)

Responsibilities

• Order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays
• Create a comfortable environment for patients, practicing a non-judgmental, compassionate attitude
• Educate patients about prevention and self-management of acute or chronic illnesses, tailoring instructions to patients' individual circumstances
• Prescribe medication
• Perform pre-employment physicals, treat work-related injuries and illnesses, and promote good health and disease prevention
• Recommend diagnostic or therapeutic interventions with attention to safety, cost, invasiveness, simplicity, acceptability, adherence, and efficacy
• Analyze and interpret patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses
• Monitor patients’ conditions and maintain accurate, detailed and confidential reports and records
