Overview
We are seeking an Art Director to lead a team of motion graphic designers in our paid ad, video, and organic social channels. As an Art Director, you will be responsible for leading brand campaigns as well as concepting and bringing to life additional ideas in service of supporting the campaign. The ideal candidate is an individual who is passionate about motion/video animation and has strong conceptual skills with a solid ability and understanding in design and typography. They should always seek innovative creative solutions, be able to take direction, and manage a team. Understanding of advertisement and the variety of nuances that surround communication design and how the various disciplines cross over to one another is essential. You should be a strategic thinker and someone who is always looking to make waves within the world of brand advertising. Above all, treat others with genuine kindness, respect and have humility.
Responsibilities
  • Be accountable for the project design deliverables and manage the quality of all deliverables to ensure they meet the creative excellence.
  • Create and manage original, persuasive, and conceptually compelling work for campaigns, content, and experiences across a variety of channels.
  • Embrace challenges and inspire new ways of thinking.
  • Leads by example to inspire colleagues to originate pioneering ideas that deliver successful creative solutions.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous feedback and improvement, productive thinking, and collaboration within the team and partners.
  • Translate commercial advertising objectives into clear creative ideas.
  • Identify areas for growth and understand how to frame up opportunities for senior leadership to help action.
  • Ability to receive and execute creative direction and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Manage, lead, and inspire the creative process from concept to delivery.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, creative and inclusive learning environment.
  • Listen to and respond to briefs, question where there are gaps.
  • Responsible for driving projects with some supervision, along with and mentoring and managing members of the team.
Qualifications/
Job Skills
  • A portfolio that demonstrates your ability to craft visual concepts for a brand across a variety of mediums.
  • 7+ years of professional experience with motion graphics
  • Stellar interpersonal and communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional design aesthetic, variations on styles, and awareness of design trends and innovation
  • An eye and passion for details
  • Understands and designs for motion (interactions, transitions, and micro animations)
  • Actively scans the industry for the best of the best inspiration, examples of our craft and shares your exciting finds with the team.
  • Proficient in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Ability to manage uncertainty and enjoys solving undefined problems.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and be flexible and adaptable to business needs.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Experience in leading a team of designers.

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, animation, or related field

The wage range for this role is $100k - $130k. Wages are based on several factors, including, but not limited to experience, education, geographic location, etc. (if applicable)
