Anchor/Producer, Page Six
The nation’s best gossip site is expanding its daily celebrity video content and seeking an experienced host/media personality/ TV journalist to be the face of this new effort contributing to our editorial vision as host, producer and content developer.
Candidates will reflect the ethos of Page Six:
- Comfortable speaking truth to power.
- Amplify our slogan: “If you don’t want it on Page Six, don’t do it.”
- Smart, edgy, and mischievous.
- Convey a New York vibe and attitude (versus Hollywood for example.)
The Page Six Anchor/Producer must be an idea factory with a can-do attitude and know all the latest celebrity and reality TV news and appreciate the odd and unconventional stories and humor.
Candidates must be equally comfortable delivering a fast on-air news summary as well as participating in longer form discussion series and analysis. Must be an experienced interviewer, turning Q&A with newsmakers and other celebrities into shareable content.
This is an opportunity to work with an iconic media brand as it continues exponential digital growth. New York Post Digital Network has garnered more than a billion video views in the past year.
Note: This job is located in NYC and will be in person.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Demonstrated anchor/on-air experience on traditional or social media channels
Production experience on digital platforms
At ease interacting with some of the most famous people in the world
Thrive in competitive, fast-paced news environment
Strong on-camera skills and presence including:
- Delivering content with and without a teleprompter
- Interviewing (both short and long form)
- Breaking news
- Scripting their own content about television/celebrity news & gossip
Strong production skills and editorial judgement including the ability to:
- Work closely with a production team
- Quickly identify the story and POV
- Adapt content to different platforms for maximum reach and impact
Previous employment at a celebrity lifestyle publication or website a plus
Entrepreneurial/helping build a new department
Open to working evenings, holidays or weekends if required
Social media savvy to make sure those stories get viewed
Must enjoy working collaboratively and accurately in a fast-paced but fun environment
Attention to detail and journalistic values of accuracy and fairness a must

Salary Range: $32,100 – $125,000
