Analytical Lab Technician Jobs

We are looking for a qualified Lab Technician to undertake a variety of laboratory procedures of technical nature. You will be handling sensitive equipment to analyze samples or substances and conduct tests reporting results in Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The ideal candidate will have experience in working under possibly hazardous conditions (e. g. chemicals). He/She will be well-trained to maintain safety conditions and will be passionate for doing work that makes things move forward. The goal is to produce reliable results in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Upkeep of general laboratory
• Perform sample management, laboratory testing, analysis and utilize standard procedures.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and perform preventive and ongoing maintenance.
• Document laboratory results through LIMS and raw data
• Ensure sample analyses are done per standard operating procedures and done in a timely manner
• Keep training current
• Collaborate in problem solving with other team members

Skills

• Experience and skill in general laboratory practices and maintaining an organized workspace
• Attention to detail
• Basic math skills
• Work environment is typical of an environmental laboratory (may be exposed to environmental conditions of some noise levels, moving mechanical parts, heights, dust/mist/gas/fumes, standing, etc.
• Basic problem solving
• Ability to work in a team environment
• General knowledge of scientific equipment and capabilities in laboratories is useful
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Experience and skill in following directions and instructions
• High School diploma with a minimum of 2 years of full-time work experience. A college diploma may be substituted for the 2 years of full-time work experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
