Job Description

Description:

Anthropologie is looking for a Marketing Analyst to join our growing Analytics team. The right candidate will possess a balance of quantitative rigor and analytical skills alongside a big-picture strategic curiosity.

The Analyst works closely with the larger analytics team and cross-functional partners to carry out analyses and develop optimizations aimed at improving efficacy of marketing investment and customer acquisition and retention. This person will contribute to an environment of fact-based, data-driven decision making within the Anthro Group family of brands, utilizing URBN’s extensive supply of customer, campaign, product, site, and marketing channel data.

The Analytics team is part of a larger Customer Strategy group including Marketing, Consumer Insights & Consumer Strategy. We collaborate with senior leadership and cross-team partners to drive Anthropologie Group’s direct & retail businesses.

Responsibilities:

· Analyze performance of Anthro, BHLDN and Terrain marketing efforts – including paid and organic search, social media advertising, display ads, affiliate and influencer marketing, video, and top-of-funnel branding – and provide actionable recommendations

· Develop, distribute, and maintain enterprise-wide reporting, measurement methodologies, and KPIs

· Contribute towards understanding of the role each marketing channel plays in customer acquisition and the broader customer journey

· Assist in monitoring and analyzing category-level performance (such as activewear), including search query and trend analysis

· Explore browse behaviors and customer patterns on both website and app properties

· Assist in attribution model research, marketing channel testing, and marketing tag maintenance

· Turn quantitative insights into qualitative recommendations and distill data down to actionable opportunities through clear delivery and communication skills

Qualifications (Needs):

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field

· Strong aptitude for reading and understanding quantitative data

· 2-3 years in an e-commerce or marketing agency environment analyzing sales metrics trends and performance against goals

· 2-3 years of experience using digital analytics applications (Google Analytics, Adobe Omniture, etc.), preferably including maintenance of site and marketing tags

· Working knowledge of digital marketing channels and performance metrics; preferred deep understanding of at least one channel (PPC, SEO, display, affiliates, email, app push, SMS)

· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

· Exceptional attention to detail and strong ability to juggle multiple priorities at once

· Collaborative personality with the ability to also work independently

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented organization

· Working knowledge of using and executing queries in a database environment (SQL/SAS/R or similar)

· Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Google Data Studio, or Domo

· Project Management experience
