Analyst - Industrial Engineering And Costing.

Role Purpose Statement

The ideal Incumbent is responsible for analysis of total cost for products and services, to ensure appropriate cost application and cost evaluation in order to optimize pricing and profitability.

Main Accountabilities

• Responsible for creating, auditing and distributing cost information and other costing analyses within each assigned project to various stakeholders
• Support review of overhead surcharges and apply them appropriately
• Follow the costing methodology and enFollow the costing methodology and ensure Total Cost accuracy
• Respond to questions from Operations, Pricing and Sales on Labor and Material cost issues
• Collaborate with Industrial Engineers to set processes
• Interact with multiple functions to understand true food and labor costs
• Audit and interpret specifications to identify required labor and material resources, resulting in accurate cost evaluation and supporting appropriate provisioning of requested services to customers
• Contextualize costing data within framework of financial, operational and strategic aspects
• Assess Customer Profitability under consideration of cost evaluation and operational productivity
• Perform review and update Standard Cost categories and ensure its accuracy
• Cost assessment for product life cycles and for tender responses
• Analyze data to assist with reducing cost in the operations
• Support Team Lead/Director in process improvement / change management efforts
• Assist Team Lead/Director with assigned and ad-hoc analysis and reporting projects

Knowledge, Skills and Experience and Competencies

• One to three years’ experience in analysis preferred
• Experience in the food manufacturing industry a plus
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications; strong Excel, Access skills required, SAP MM experience a plus
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to interface effectively with internal customers
• Bachelor degree required (or equivalent experience), preferably in the field Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering
• Proven analytical, mathematical and problem solving skills
• Self-motivated and able to prioritize and multitask activities with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize under pressure
