Analyst Dispatch Jobs

Position Summary

Dispatch Analyst’s support JetBlue’s Flight Dispatch, Air Traffic Programs, Load Planning and other System Operations teams by analyzing current processes, assisting with process improvements, aiding in operational delay reduction, and continuously working towards efficiency.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform audits to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and company standards
• All other duties as assigned
• Conduct detailed investigations of significant flight delay events
• Data Entry required for updating crucial SOC system on consistent basis
• Create and provide detailed reports (both analytical and statistical) to leadership for further analysis
• Communicate with internal/external product owners to report and track software issues.
• Provide weekly task updates to leadership
• Dispatch system application testing and result reporting
• Acquire overflight permits from foreign authorities for JetBlue flights
• Collect and analyze data from flight dispatch and system operations tools and external data sources
• Communicate with internal customers, such as end users, pertaining to gathering or disseminating data.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills
• Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools
• Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
• One (1) year of analytical experience or airline operational experience
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test
• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
• Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

• One (1) year Quality Assurance experience
• One (1) year Project management experience
• Bachelor’s Degree
• One (1) year working as a flight dispatcher
• One (1) year Quantitative analysis experience
• Able to run SQL queries
• Proficient with Flight Dispatch Tools (i.e. Flight Plan Manager, Aircom, Flight Explorer)

Crewmember Expectations:

• Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
• Able to maintain a professional appearance
• Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards
• When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
• Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

• Generally not required, or up to 10 pounds occasionally, 0 pounds frequently. (Sedentary)

Compensation:

• The base pay range for this position is between $63,800.00 and $106,800.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
