Job Summary:

We are seeking an Analyst to join the Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Asset Management team. Asset Management is responsible for commercially optimizing our RNG Assets. Delivering value and insights to our farmers, equity partners, and Brightmark through innovation, diligence, and care. The candidate is expected to support the team in a variety of tasks. A major focus will be on the preparation of operational and financial performance reports to stakeholders and on helping the team develop deeper data management and analytics capabilities. Another focus will be on the “procurement to pay” cycle, where the candidate will support purchase requisition creation, invoice matching, purchase receipt recording, and payment forecasting/scheduling across dozens of project entities. All responsibilities will include a proactive focus on process improvement, standardization, and scalability. The Analyst will work cross-functionally in the organization and interact with executive, finance, accounting, and operations personnel, among others. The Analyst will also actively support and participate in recurring Asset Management meetings where the candidate will have the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of the Asset Management function, and of the RNG industry in general. This is an entry-level position with the intention and opportunity to develop into a higher role within the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze operational fleet performance, provide actionable insights, and support the development of business cases for potential solutions.
  • Innovate process improvement initiatives which may include document management, data compilation and preparation of summaries (e.g., one-pagers, dashboards, etc.), documenting standard operating procedures, or other efforts as identified by the team.
  • Manage the intake and processing of invoices which includes sorting and logging invoices, identifying associated purchase orders, and recording purchase order receipts, and scheduling payments.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the team’s data analytics capabilities and applying those capabilities to improve business insights.
  • Support project registration efforts for environmental credit programs that drive revenue realization.
  • Document and track contractual obligations and recurring deliverables to completion.
  • Assist with ad‐hoc projects as requested and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as the business grows and changes.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly operational fleet performance reports that are distributed to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead collation of information from disparate sources including internal and external stakeholders.

  • Owning and building performance reports that are iteratively more automated, efficient, and scalable in nature.
  • Delivering high quality reports on a timely basis for external and internal reporting purposes.
  • Mindset of continuous improvement in processes and work products.

Experience & Professional Qualifications:

  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Comfortable working with big datasets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business/Management/Finance or related field.
  • Direct experience with RNG a plus.
  • Experience with ERP/Accounting software a plus.
  • Experience in pro forma financial analysis of energy projects and reporting.
  • 3+ years of applicable experience in an asset management, business analyst, or financial analyst role, preferably in the renewable energy industry.
  • Experience with data visualization software such as PowerBI a plus.

Salary:

$77,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
