Brazos Valley Equine Hospitals – Salado is currently looking for a self-driven veterinarian to support our expanding practice. Located north of Austin, Texas, this hospital is part of a progressive, rapidly growing full-service and multi-center hospital network. We believe in being progressive and seek to develop unique skills. Applicants are expected to be focused on continual improvement through self-study and continued education. We are seeking an individual with exceptional communication skills who values the importance of the veterinary-client relationship and who works well within the team.
Brazos Valley Equine Hospitals is a premier group of equine practices with multiple locations in Texas.  We are a busy, interactive practice with over 70+ team members and we believe in our ability to help people through the care of horses.
We provide veterinary care for a large variety of disciplines, but the majority is split between western performance horses and English sport horses. Applicants should be proficient in general wellness and emergency care. Participating in a shared on-call schedule is expected. This position can be tailored to fit your ability and desires to grow within the practice.
Full-time support staff is available and the diagnostic equipment available includes digital radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy, CURO acoustic myography, computed tomography, and dynamic endoscopy; in house laboratory equipment includes CBC machine, chemistry machine, lactate, SAA, and culture/sensitivity.
The position is supported locally by DACVS, rehabilitation, and acupuncture specialists. Within the practice network, specialist’s consultations with DACVIM, DACVECC, DACVO, DACVS, DACT, acupuncture, chiropractic, and MBA’s are available.
