Ambulatory Echo Tech Ii - Heart & Vascular

Under general direction, the Echocardiographer is responsible for performing diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations for patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.

a. Minimum Education Requirement : Satisfactory completion of a formal ultrasound program or equivalent training as specified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Must be certified and registered as Diagnostic Cardias Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). New graduate sonographers must complete their registry boards within twelve months of eligibility or first year of employment, whichever comes first. Vascular certification preferred.

b. Minimum Experience Requirement : Experience in cardiovascular imaging preferred. Interpersonal communication skills in order to effectively instruct patients and to maintain cooperative working relationships with coworkers.

c. Minimum License Requirement : BLS certification either upon hire or within orientation period. Cardiovascular certification as described above

Heavy Work: Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs with a maximum lifting of 100 lbs.
