Location: US or Canada, fully remote

Position Summary


WomenLift Health is seeking a Program Lead to work under the direction of the Leadership Development Director and in close collaboration with Leadership Development teammates across regional hubs. The ideal candidate will possess a clear understanding and value for women’s leadership, excellent people skills, and the ability to manage the needs of a diverse and expanding global community beginning with North America, India, East Africa and soon to be scaling to Southern Africa and beyond. They have a demonstrated track record in working both independently and collaboratively, as well as the emotional and cultural intelligence to collaborate with diverse individuals across different time zones. The Program Lead will support regional teams in creating aligned and contextualized offerings for the regional and global community to grow, connect, and lead beyond their experience in our Leadership Journeys. The incumbent must be a self-starter and a forward-looking thinker. This position is fully remote and requires both US and international travel approximately 4-6 times per year.


Roles And Responsibilities


Working closely with the functional and regional Leadership Development (LD) teams:


  • Lead the development of alumnae community related material for on-boarding newly hired Leadership Development teammates across regions
  • Provide ongoing alumnae community design and implementation support to regional hubs, particularly in the early phases of each hub with a plan for progressive regional ownership over time
  • Lead refinement and support implementation of a comprehensive and forward-looking cross-regional Alumnae strategy as well as regional governance structures for alumnae.
  • Support alumnae community monitoring, evaluation, and learning efforts by contributing to defining, reviewing, and tracking of quantitative and qualitative metrics associated with the alumnae network
  • Support the creation of an alumnae database to identify and amplify alumnae stories, leadership projects, and broader leadership advancement in health
  • Manage the inclusion of significant alumnae process changes in the established Change Management System to balance flexibility for customization and standardization.
  • Support institutional influence work as needed including engaging with public, private, NGO, Academic and philanthropic health institutions and institutional leaders represented by alumnae members
  • Contribute to instructional design and facilitation of programmatic offerings (both asynchronous and in-person) to alumnae and cohort communities.
  • Build systems, platforms, and processes for alumnae community learning and sharing to ensure ideas, feedback, best practices, and key information is effectively documented and exchanged across all hubs.
  • Lead the development and implementation of cross-regional alumnae events and learning sessions including engaging programmatic and resource partners to expand the pool of offerings to alumnae.
  • Contribute to design and development of customized digital spaces for the alumnae community on the WomenLift Health website, the TechChange platform, and a customized mobile application
  • Contribute alumnae relevant content for the WomenLift social media platforms


Education & Experience (required)


  • Experience in training and capacity-building domains
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Senior Program Management or lead roles, preferably in global or public health, leadership development, international development, or gender-equality domain.
  • 10+ years of project management experience, preferably across a diversity of cultures and countries
  • Master’s degree (related field preferred)
  • Demonstrated track record of managing and engaging large scale global communities


Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (required)


  • Advanced computer skills and demonstrated experience in using MS office suite including spreadsheets, web-based applications such as email, social media, videoconferencing, program and task management applications, and ease in learning new programs
  • Depth of experience, maturity, confidence, ability to learn and adapt, and give and receive feedback
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated success in following through and successfully completing simultaneous projects in a timely manner
  • Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to collaborate and co-create within geographically, culturally diverse teams, clients, and external stakeholders
  • Strong strategic management skills, and forward-thinking ability
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and assign work to others
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment routinely and independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects
  • Established track record in successfully managing and engaging large global communities


Education & Experience (preferred)


  • Additional language preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of digital & online learning modalities is a plus
  • Women’s Leadership and Gender Equality knowledge and experience

Hiring Information


Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 USD (Salary will be dependent on local market.)


Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package that includes 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance for employees (and their families). Employees are able to enroll in 401K retirement plan and are eligible for a 3% automatic contribution and up to a 3% employer match on 401K contributions. Employees are also eligible for pretax transportation benefits. Employees will receive 120 hours of vacation time, 80 hours of health leave, up to 2 days of casual leave, and 20 hours of voluntary leave annually. Employees will also receive 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are eligible for 12 weeks of paid family and medical leave after 90 days of employment.
