Customer Service Monitoring Representative (Lafayette, LA)Full Time12 Hour Shifts With Rotating On/Off ScheduleJob Summary:Verifies and dispatches the proper authorities for residential and commercial alarm customers.Job Function: -Handles incoming alarm calls and dispatches the proper authorities for residential and commercial alarm customers-Answers phone calls from end users and dealers-Answers incoming phone calls and takes messages for dealers and end users-Handles special projects and dealer/end user issues specifically requested by the alarm manager-Works with computer alarm automation software to efficiently handle alarms-Contacts individuals to inform them of alarm-related issues-Assists the alarm center any time there is a natural disaster or other emergenciesQUALIFICATIONS:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the essential functions of the job:
  • Must be PC literate with some familiarity with MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Strong organizational skills
