Job Description

Design Engineer - Aircraft Interior & Systems Modification - Contract - WA/TX - 0720 - August23


Our client in theWA & TXareas havemultiple immediate openingsfor their new project that is involved in themodification of aircraft interiors & Systems.They are seeking experienced design engineers for this long term project . Experience with previous aircraft Interiors & Systems Modification Design work preferred such as LOPA, Galleys, crew rests, water waste system etc. Proficiency with CATIA or similar CAD program preferred


Jobs Roles & Responsibilities

  • Supports investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
  • Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Demonstrates good problem solving skills and critical thinking
  • Working knowledge of standard business software (MS Office Suite)
  • 4+ years of experience with 3D modeling (CATIA, Solidworks, Inventor, CREO, SketchUp, etc.)
  • Assists to develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the interiors system design.
  • Performs tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
  • Assists with supplier development, test and production activities and coordination with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
  • Familiarity and demonstrated experience with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA equivalent.
  • Ability to meet plan delivery deadlines when assigned
  • Experience in aerospace interiors, materials and properties, design criteria and release processes
  • Works under general supervision.
  • Develops, maintains and modifies basic structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Ability to use a variety of media to clearly convey information and ideas to a variety of audiences
  • Demonstrated interest in continuous personal learning and development
