The Boeing Company has multiple job openings for experienced Aircraft Assembly Technicians in Mesa, Arizona, the home of the Apache Longbow Helicopter. The selected candidates will assemble, modify and install aircraft assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, systems and airframe structures on aircraft systems.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, disassemble, install, test, troubleshoot, rework, repair and modify aircraft mechanical or electrical assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, systems, following manufacturing planning, blueprints, schematics, process specifications, engineering sketches, written and oral instructions.
  • Work overtime as required
  • Report all non-conformances to manufacturing supervision or corrective action representative. Prepare rejection tags noting deviations from specifications on dimensions, finishes, material, processes, or quality when required.
  • Identify production inefficiencies and suggest potential improvements to product or process.
  • Electrical technician with wire harness experience,
  • Identify nonconforming parts, conditions and processes.
  • Inspect assemblies, component parts, and airframe structures for non-conformance. Report discrepancies to manufacturing self-examination (MSE), corrective action (C/A), or manufacturing supervision.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ensure all assemblies and detail parts are free of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and non-conformance issues.
  • Complete documentation accurately
  • Operates tools and equipment such as wire strippers, crimpers, wire identification and associated tools
  • Report on job status and restraints to coworkers and supervision.
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere and displays a positive attitude
  • Follow all safety procedures and reports unsafe conditions to safety officials or manufacturing supervision.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in aircraft assembly
  • Able to climb, stand, bend, kneel, reach, crawl, and walk on or around aircraft or work stand
  • Experience interpreting and working from blueprints, sketches and written and verbal instructions, in English
  • Ability to work any shift as required by business need

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Prefer specific Apache Longbow knowledge in systems such as Hydraulics, Flight Controls, Rigs, Fuel, Environmental Control Systems, Avionics, Wire Harness Installation and routing, Fairings, Brakes, and APU

The selected candidate must be able to work any shift, as assigned.

Candidates need to be open to potential extended hours and/or various work shifts.

Typical Education / Experience:

This job requires a minimum of a high school diploma/GED and 1 to 3 years of work-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
