After School Access Staff Part Time

Position Title: A.C.C.E.S.S. Program Staff
Position Type: Hourly $25 / Non-Exempt
Position Hours: PT / 12.5 hrs/week (3:30-6:00)
Reports To: A.C.C.E.S.S. Facilitator
Length of Term/Employment: 190 days/ At-will

Position Mission: The ACCESS Staff, under the direction of the ACCESS campus facilitator, will lead, implement, and manage an Academic club. The ACCESS staff will act as an academic coach including but not limited to ensuring support to strengthen and identifying the lowest SEs for academic success and closing academic gaps, support behavioral, and social-emotional growth of students, promoting a data-driven, collaborative approach across the campus to meet student needs.

Position Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Certification:

• Minimum 10 College Hours
• High school diploma or GED

Major Responsibility and Duties:

• Performs related duties as required.
• Provide a safe and orderly environment for students
• Supervision of Students
• Supervise students during recess at scheduled time
• Centered environment.
• Supervise and assist students through serving line to ensure assigned dinner block remains on schedule
• Assists and supports student behavior management. Refers and communicates behavioral concerns and inappropriate conduct to campus facilitator.
• Assists with general food needs such as assisting students with opening food containers, discarding food during meals, and general cleanliness.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Student Growth and Development:

• Be a positive role model for students, support the mission of school.
• Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement through formal and informal testing
• Help students analyze and improve study methods and habits
• Assume responsibility for extracurricular activities as assigned.
• Teach students to work toward self-discipline and responsibility
• Ensure good student discipline by being regular in attendance and on time.

Other:

• Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
• Perform disaster duty when needed.
• Support after school activities.
• Attend professional growth activities to keep abreast of innovative techniques in maintenance operations.

• Actively participate in student recruitment efforts.
• Illustrate understanding of Charter and community needs and begin activities to meet those needs.
• Demonstrate the use of productive and efficient skills to raise community and parent involvement.
