Passaic County CASA for Children mobilizes community volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in foster care. The organization envisions a community where every child has an advocate and the opportunity to thrive.

Over 325 children were in the Passaic County foster care system last year.


CASA provides high-quality advocacy services to abused and neglected youth in the child welfare and family court system. We are committed to serving every child in need of an advocate. You can join this dynamic and powerful organization as a full or part-time Advocacy Supervisor who will support a caseload of volunteer advocates.

This position supervises CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) volunteers to ensure that abused and neglected children in the foster care system receive effective advocacy and permanency planning.

Our staff is a team of highly driven individuals committed to the organization's mission. Each team member is responsible for his or/her own responsibilities but also has ownership of the overall organizational success.


This position will work with a team of 20-30 volunteers, and their cases to deliver high-quality court-appointed advocacy services to children in foster care. The successful applicant for this position will be experienced in the family court and/or child welfare system. The candidate will be highly detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and able to think quickly on their feet.


The position requires attending regular court hearings, accompanying volunteers on home visits as needed, and being available for emergencies outside normal office hours. Regular, detailed case documentation, court reports and monthly reporting are required to maintain compliance with standards. Successful candidates must be flexible to attend occasional evening and weekend training and organizational events. Fluency in Spanish and English to be used in a professional setting is a plus but not required.


Minimum Education Required: 4-year degree, Masters/J.D. Preferred

Salary: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year

  • Experience working in child welfare or with foster care programs is strongly preferred.
