Job Description
Position Summary
Incumbent is responsible for all areas of traditional, mobile and digital marketing. Work requires superior communication and judgment skills as position's primary responsibility is grow the STC brand by driving engagement and digital presence. Additionally, the incumbent assists with the execution of various casino promotions, video production and graphic design. Reports to the Marketing Manager and Director of Marketing.
General Accountabilities
(The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this class and are not all inclusive for specific positions.)
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
  • Fundamental understanding of print design processes and materials.
  • Remains well-informed of the property's current news and events as well as market/industry news;
  • Conduct website maintenance and copy updates.
  • Provides general administrative support to the Marketing Manager;
  • Assists in the coordination and production of all events;
  • Coordinate email and message content and campaigns.
  • Work nights, weekends and holidays, as schedule requires.
  • Establish, maintain and collaborate effective communication and professional relationships with internal departments.
  • Coordinates with the Marketing Manager to facilitate website updates and ensures that all content is accurate and posted or removed on schedule;
  • Assist the Marketing team with the promotion of the Player Development Club.
  • Take ownership of and maintain the integrity of the STC brand.
  • Design digital and print collateral for all marketing purposes.
  • Supervise and deploy the advertising assets online, on property and through contracted advertising partners/vendors.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
Must Have Ability To
  • Operates in a working environment that is subject to varying levels of crowds, noise, and smoke the severity of which depends upon customer volume;
  • Use all equipment associated with the position, including but not limited to, computers, software and database systems;
  • Work more than 45 hours per week which may include nights, weekends and holidays;
  • Communicate effectively at all times, with guests and all levels of employees;
  • Review and comprehend all necessary documentation;

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Work periodically under conditions of extreme urgency (creating higher levels of job stress);

  • Deal with problems involving several concrete variables;
  • Apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or graphic form;
Job Qualifications
  • 2+ years related experience in casino marketing, journalism, communications, event planning or public relations. Preference given to those with casino experience.
  • Must be detail orientated, creative, artistic, motivated, and willing to work long hours;
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints and to communicate effectively with co-workers and customers in a timely manner;
  • Ability to meet deadlines as required;
  • Read, write and speak English fluently;
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong hospitality spirit, people person who is passionate about showcasing the property experience to all guests;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment business that operates 24/7;
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field.
  • Must be proficient in office procedures, equipment, computers and applicable software applications such as Microsoft Office products;
  • Proven understanding of casino marketing principles. Preference will be given to applicants that have demonstrated casino marketing experience;
  • Must be available to work a variable shift that is focused on special events and business demands;
  • Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills;
  • Proven success using Adobe After Affects, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign. Portfolio submission preferred;
Regulatory And Compliance Responsibilities
In addition to the other duties described herein, every employee has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:
  • Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not encouraged or permitted to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco products;
  • Uphold high standards of ethical behavior, demonstrate an understanding of the impacts of problem gambling, and have knowledge of the Casino's programs to address problem gambling;
  • Take the appropriate steps to report exceptions, fraud, acts of wrongdoing, and potential violations of regulations or internal controls to the appropriate levels of management;
  • Employment is contingent on receiving and maintaining adequate licensing, including any required gaming license;
  • Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Casino;
  • Establish rules for promotions and events that conform to Casino policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Refer to the Internal Control System and Policy Manuals for guidance;
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations;
  • Attend required training sessions offered by the Spokane Tribe Casino;
WORK ENVIRONMENT And PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Capable of working in an office environment but duties may require working in all casino facilities, especially the Cage, Slots, and Casino floor, where the position may experience moderate noise and secondary smoke;
  • Capable of working for extended periods of time at a work station, performing tasks on computer and working with documents.
