This position will be Hybrid out of our La Crosse, WI location, and required to be on-site at least three days a week.

Trane Technologies is hiring an Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Program Manager in La Crosse, WI. The Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Program Manager designs and develops manufacturing processes and systems focused on exceeding quality, cost, and schedule requirements. The role will be responsible to coordinate and guide larger x-functional project teams focused on achieving project results regarding the implementation and transformation of manufacturing processes.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Evaluate and implement innovative, cost effective, safe, manufacturing processes and techniques which will improve the effectiveness of the manufacturing operations and business systems.
  • Develop manufacturing planning, initial tooling requirements and costs, capability requirements, control plans, and assessments, which facilitate the definition and specification of the manufacturing processes.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance for the timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems. Serve as a resource for cause / effect analyses, investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning.
  • Integrate closely with various functional team members collaborating while enhancing design for manufacturability and ease of integration to manufacturing facility.
  • Incorporate automation and information strategies as process enhancements.
  • Develop and define concepts and manufacturing processes for, and as an integral part of, all new product introductions and product enhancement programs, using advanced engineering techniques such as DFM / DFA (Design for Manufacturability and Assembly), FMEA, 3P (Production, Preparation Process), 7-Ways, and Lean Six Sigma Methodology.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing flows, workstation layouts and organization, and station controls, which optimize value added operations, operating costs, and product / process quality.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering or other Technology degree)
  • Knowledge of life cycle cost, dimensional capability, and capacity analysis
  • Ability to communicate and work with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Five (5) years involvement with Design/Production feasibility working experience with DFMEA/PFMEA, DVP&R.
  • Familiar with Industry 4.0 technologies
  • Project Management experience required.
  • Knowledge of advanced quality and design techniques
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to travel up to 20% to other facilities
  • Five (5) years of manufacturing experience required (machining, assembly, fabrication, welding, etc.)
Base Pay Range: $85,000-$135,000. Total compensation for this role will include an incentive plan.
