The purpose of this position is to provide various clerical and administrative duties for an assigned department.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Coordinates department activities and events by tracking work and changing orders, researching information, and relaying communications.
- Provides customer service by responding to requests from the general public, providing information, and directing customers to appropriate individuals.
- Monitors and maintains inventory for department and prepares reports related to department activities and operations.
- Processes incoming and outgoing purchase orders, vouchers, agreements, contracts, payments and cash disbursements.
- Provides administrative and technical support by maintaining department and employee schedules and databases, coordinating meetings and agendas, preparing project lists, editing and preparing correspondence and reports, and processing payroll.
- Performs other similar duties as required.

- Inventory maintenance principles
- Record-keeping principles and practices
- Valid North Carolina Driver’s License
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
- Positions in this class requires: standing, fine dexterity, walking, lifting, carrying, sitting, reaching, handling, kneeling, pushing/pulling, vision, bending, crouching, hearing, twisting, talking.
- Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds occasionally or negligible weights frequently; sitting most of the time.
