Job Description
Summary
Candidates should be passionate educators and practitioners who can facilitate the needs of diverse 21st century learners.
Candidates should demonstrate (1) a mastery of their specific discipline; (2) a deep commitment to the college mission of fostering student success, achievement and persistence; (3) technology competencies as well as teaching/counseling skills and strategies that facilitate 21st century literacies; (4) the use of resources that prepare students for productive lives; (5) experience using various educational technological mediums.

Minimum Education:
  • Graduate degree with 18 graduate semester hours in an appropriate combination of: Materials, Business Analysis, Imports/Exports, Industrial Engineering, International Business, Logistics, Management, Materials Handling, Operations Management, Project Management, Purchasing, Quality Control Management, Quantitative Analysis, Statistics, Supply Chain Management and Transportation
  • Ph.D. preferred.
  • Graduate degree in Transportation & Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or Materials with 3 years related work experience OR
Minimum Experience/Training:
  • Broward College places special importance on helping under - prepared students achieve academic success.
  • Prior college teaching experience is preferred.
  • All schedules require office hours and some may require evening and/or weekend hours.
  • The successful candidate must be willing and able to teach in both the traditional face-to-face and blended (hybrid) format.
  • The successful candidate must have a high level of computer literacy and a commitment to teaching.
