Summary


This position enta ils teaching New Multimedia Communication, CO 630. This is an online, hybrid course, with 2 ½-hour weekly evening (EDT) synchronous class sessions, as well as asynchronous work and interactions, in our MA in Strategic Communication program. The course runs online in 8-week terms according to the official Academic Calendar of the College. We utilize Moodle as our LMS.


Essential Functions


  • Provide synchronous and asynchronous instruction in various elements of multimedia communication.
  • Comply with all College policies and procedures.
  • Identify students experiencing difficulty and bring these to the attention of the SBC administration.
  • Hold weekly office hours and communicate directly with students to promote effective learning.
  • Evaluate student work in a timely fashion.


Other Responsibilities


  • Contribute to Department, School, and College curriculum development.
  • Support the Mission of Regis College and the Sisters of St. Joseph.


Qualifications


Requirements:


  • Relevant Master’s degree required; terminal degree preferred.
  • Ability to uphold the university’s commitment to inclusive excellence in a diverse educational community.
  • Sufficient computer equipment and Internet access to effectively teach remote courses.


Working Conditions/Physical Demands


  • Candidate will spend significant time on-line, both interacting with students and responding to and evaluating their work.
  • Normal office environment, not subject to extremes in noise, odors, etc.
