Remote work must be performed while residing in California.

All Coursework and curriculum and materials are provided, Instructors will only be responsible for teaching the classes and working with students following the course/curriculum established.


Technical Adjunct Professor for Azure( AZ104), AWS, ITF+, A+, NET+, OR Software Development

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Teaching:

  • Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies to communicate subject matter to students
  • Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student’s needs
  • Available to teach online Technical courses via Microsoft Teams
  • Plan and organize instruction in ways that maximize student learning and engagement
  • Current certifications in subjects taught, AZ-900, AWS Cloud Practitioner, ITF+, NET+, SEC+, etc.


Mastery of Subject Matter:

  • Stay current in their subject matter through professional development, through involvement in professional organizations, and attending professional meetings, conferences, or workshops
  • Demonstrate a thorough and accurate knowledge of your field or discipline through real world experience in technical professions.
  • Connect their subject matter with related fields


Adhering to College Policies and Procedures:

  • Submit documentation: sign-in attendance, pre-post exams, lab sheets, student snapshots, and accreditation/state required documents and others as required
  • Promote collaboration with other staff members and participate in the implementation of new projects, ideas, etc.
  • Communicate to management requirements for textbooks, handouts, supplies, equipment, exam vouchers and other items needed with sufficient notice to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement prior to class
  • Ensure Student Database is fully updated and accurate at all times regarding student attendance and grade record information


Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

  • Ability to multitask
  • Problem solves rapidly and effectively, in a timely manner
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as learning technologies such as Canvas and Zoom
  • Effective communication and technology skills
  • Able to work assigned schedule if needed depending on schedule and coverage
  • Advanced subject matter expertise preferred
  • Information Technology Instructors must provide official transcripts of bachelor's (or higher) degree and active/current certification on the subject being taught.
  • At least three years’ experience in the respective field and 6+ months of teaching experience
  • High level of flexibility, creativity, and dependability
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Appropriate credential, license, or certification
  • Works with a sense of urgency, while engaging and listening to coworkers from other departments
