What you will do in this role: As an Activity / Activities Director you will utilize a wide range of interventions and techniques to improve the physical, cognitive, and leisure needs of our "guests" (patients). You will assist guests to develop skills, knowledge, and behaviors for daily living (ASLs) and community involvement. You will work with our guest and their family to incorporate specific interests into the event programming to achieve optimal physical rehab outcomes that transfer to their real-life situation at home.

This could involve leading exercise groups, managing a team of Aides, and above all, making this a stimulating environment for all.

Activity / Activities Director: Officially we title this job an Activities Director, but in other centers it may be called a Life Enrichment Coordinator.

What we need from you:

• We follow the CMS & IDPH rules for the Covid-19 vaccine. You should be fully vaccinated or you will be required to submit an exemption. Details will be discussed during your interview.
• Electronic medical records experience (Point Click Care)
• Certified Activity Director (the 36-hour certification course for the state of IL) preferred, not required
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting as an Activity Director is preferred
• Extensive involvement with leading a dynamic team, creating an engaging events calendar and managing the individual needs of long-term care patients that address their physical, cognitive and social deficits is preferred
