Job Description

Hirewell has been exclusively retained by a fast growing, regional Commercial Real Estate Owner and Operator of Self Storage properties to search for an Acquisitions Analyst. This position will focus on supporting the execution and implementation of the Company's strategies and programs by gathering and analyzing market, property, and portfolio data. Ideal candidates for this opportunity will have 3+ years related experience.



  • Communicate professionally with brokers, developers, investment partners, consultants, legal and risk management professionals
  • Work on certain asset management assignments such as tracking tenant financial performance, leasing and capital projects
  • Synthesize large amounts of disparate information about each investment opportunity
  • Create customized financial models for each investment opportunity
  • Manage and update deals in an internal pipeline
  • Perform a comprehensive analysis of businesses, their industry, financial statements, and credit quality for tenants occupying properties targeted for investment
  • Review leases, operating agreements, loan documents, budgets, and other diligence items
  • Work with senior investment professionals to underwrite, structure, and execute CRE investments that are consistent with the firm's credit-focused investment strategy
  • Build and maintain detailed analyses related to asset performance
  • Perform extensive due diligence and assist in deal execution
  • Prepare detailed financial analyses to effectively model the business's capital structure, downside risk, and performance
  • Perform in-depth real estate market research specific to investment opportunities to support/reject investment theses under consideration
  • Prepare presentation materials, including investment committee memos


Requirements


  • Highest level of integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work both independently and within teams
  • Demonstrated investment acumen, knowledge and thoughtfulness as a credit-minded investor with financial statement analysis experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience underwriting deals at an investment bank, commercial bank, private equity firm or other real estate investment firm
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related field
  • Advanced Excel acumen
  • Team player with desire to contribute to a collaborative and constructive work environment
