Summary
Fast paced position that performs and supervises all aspects of the billing, collections and cash application functions performed by the entire AR Team. Manages a team of three.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliant to all Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) internal controls and provide support during audits
- Process several daily / weekly billings
- Responsible for month end close process around Accounts Receivable processes
- Review and reconcile customer accounts continuously
- Daily customer credit card processing
- Assist / oversee Billing & Cash application process by assisting AR Clerks with questions / problems that arise
- Collaborate with Sales, Dispatch, Inside Sales, Plants and Accounting on tickets, orders, products, etc.
- Assist / oversee Credit & Collections process; make collection calls
- Weekly Management reports for Executive Team, Sales Meetings, etc.
- Review and sign off on daily batches (electronic work papers)
- Continuous process improvement of processes within Accounts Receivable Team
- Various other duties or projects, as assigned
- Review the Aging Report weekly
Education and/or Experience
- 5+ years, experience in accounts receivable
- College Degree or equivalent work experience
- Prior Supervisory experience is a must
- 5+ years, experience in credit and collections required

- Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.

- Excellent phone etiquette with internal and external customers
- Able to effectively communicate in verbal and written form to employees, Management and Executives
Reasoning Ability
- Able to identify, define and resolve problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Able to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in mathematical, written or oral form
Work Environment
- Normally an office environment; however, may travel to plant locations for work related projects
- The noise level in some areas of the work environment may be moderate, but is typically quiet
