Position Overview:The Accounts Payable/Receivables Clerk will be responsible for recording financial transactions and purchasing goods and services. This position plays an active role in the daily and monthly timely recording of transactions.


Salary: \$21- \$24/hr based on experience


Daily (80%):


  • Post lockbox receipts to customer accounts in A/R System
  • Post checks received in mail to customer accounts in A/R System
  • Enter and process Accounts Payable vouchers for payment and close purchase orders, scan and store invoices electronically
  • Purchase goods and services from various vendors as requested
  • Enter credit cards in Paytrace
  • Assist customers and vendors with account inquiries via phone


Weekly (15%):


  • Review vendor statements for outstanding balances
  • File vendor invoices
  • Print checks and match to vouchers, mail payments


Other (5%):


  • Assist Director of Accounting with other duties assigned


Qualifications


  • Able to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Accounting Certificate or other training is a plus
  • Must be able to communicate with customers and vendors clearly
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an accounting clerical role required; exposure to manufacturing or production environment preferred
  • Experience in payables accounting software and MS Excel is plus; Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus
  • Good organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a timely and independent manner
