POSITION SUMMARY:

The Accounting Systems Analyst will assist with accounting systems maintenance and improvements and various ongoing accounting responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide training to end-users for modified and new systems.
• Create new GL accounts and other accounting system administrative tasks.
• May assist in month-end closing activities and inventory control procedures.
• Assist in development of and improvements to financial reports.
• Assist with design and implementation of systems improvements.
• Interact with internal and external customers at all levels in a professional manner.
• Assist with translating business requirements into business system solutions that meet business requirements.
• Maintain and protect operations by keeping accounting information confidential.
• Develop implementation test plans and procedures and coordinates the testing of new systems.
• Collaborate with others to identify opportunities for streamlining and other process improvements.
• Interface with Information Technology on the design and configuration of accounting system and other third-party software.
• Maintain IT SOX control documents and coordinate with auditors.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects.
• Answer basic questions and provide assistance with information.
• Help business/accounting team on SOX review.
• Maintain quality service by following organization standards.
• Assist with solving accounting system issues and ongoing system maintenance.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Accounting systems/ERP experience required; Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred.
• Able to organize, multi-task, prioritize and be flexible with changing business needs in a team environment.
• Positive, self-motivated, and enthusiastic team player.
• Aptitude to learning new technologies/skills and working in a fast-pace team environment.
• Computer literate; MS Office skills including advanced user of Excel.
• 1 to 5 years of related experience.
• Able to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise.
• Practical experience in data/record management.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Able to maintain confidential information.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Professional demeanor.
• SQL database knowledge preferred.
• Excellent attendance, punctual and solid work history.
• Able to apply written/verbal instruction.
• Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Information System from an accredited college/university; 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Experience operating general office equipment; copier, scanner, personal computer, and calculator.
• Pays attention to providing accurate details.
• SOX experience preferred.
