Job Description
  • Manage accounting staff by learning and knowing each accounting job within the office.


We are looking for an Accounting Manager to perform a variety of accounting and financial duties. The Accounting Manager responsibilities include maintaining financial records, reviewing general ledger accounts, reconciling cash, managing accounting office staff, and various other accounting duties. You will also run accounting software programs (e.g., BMS) to process daily transactions, and month end entries such as journal entries, etc. A successful Accounting Manager should be familiar with all accounting procedures, have a flair for numbers, and be an initiative-taker. A successful Accounting Manager will ensure that all the company’s daily, monthly, and annual accounting needs are met.


Responsibilities


  • Conduct month-end and year-end close
  • Reconcile all general ledger accounts.
  • Create and post various journal entries.
  • Prepare documents and assist with audits.
  • Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g., by assets, liabilities, and expenses)
  • Keep informed of regulatory requirements and best practices in accounting.
  • Manage accounting staff by learning and knowing each accounting job within the office.
  • Reconcile cash to bank accounts when needed.
  • Prepare and review weekly and monthly financial statements.
  • Perform recordkeeping and prepare financial reports.
  • Maintain and reconcile various spreadsheets.


Requirements


  • Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and accounting procedures
  • Manage and maintain sensitive information in confidential and meticulous manner.
  • Firsthand experience with spreadsheets, general ledger accounts, and financial reports
  • Ability to manage office staff.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration or comparable experience
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Work independently and well organized
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
