Accountant Or Accounting Tech

Accountant: Systematically records, summarizes, and analyzes business and financial accounts and transactions. -Process bank transfers for A/P and Payroll -Establish and maintain ledgers in compliance with various grant conditions and requirements -Reconciles bank accounts -Assists with payroll functions -Coordinates budgets, expenditures and activities between multi contract programs -Assist with Agency audits -Prepare Federal, State, Funding Contracts and all required form filing (e.g. monthly reports, 990, Etc.) -Assists with personnel training -Reconcile loans with ledger -Processes electronic banking cash receipts -Create, analyze and process distribution codes -Review and post budgets -Create payroll codes per Grant/Contract requirements and budget constraints -Monitor various fund budgets -Review/process accounts payable vouchers and fund transfers -External Agency accounting -ALL POSTING Accounting Tech: Performs a wide variety of duties, including bookkeeping and program assistance, requires working accurately and efficiently with attention to detail. -Assist with monthly billings, prepare journal entries -Manually reconcile deposits, pass on to Accountant to reconcile bank accounts -Help Accountant prepare for auditors photocopies, report preparation, etc. -Enter cash receipts and account receivable receipts -Assist with Insurance billing and reconciliation -Prepare automatic bank deposit scan check batches and pass to Accountant to be posted -Assist with Accounts payable weekly process and processing of manual checks -Assist with processing payroll, run bi-weekly reports, and payroll entries for General Ledger -Assist with spreadsheet preparation, maintenance, reports and creating forms -Fund Accounting, maintain ledgers in compliance with various grant conditions -Design reports for HR and Payroll systems -Assist in development of special projects with Department Directors as needed -External Agency accounting -NO POSTING RESPONSIBILITIES FT Accountant or Accounting Tech needed in Virginia, MN. 40 hrs/wk. Starting wage dependent upon qualifications. Accountant starting at \$24.16/hour or Accounting Tech starting at \$21.80/hour. Increase after successful probation. Great benefits and paid leave.
