Venteon is currently seeking an Accountant to fill an opening with an Industry Leader and Employer of Choice with headquarters in the Metro Detroit area. The ideal candidate will be a critical contributor to the company’s overall financial success.

Requirements of the Accountant

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with emphasis in accounting
• Experience in an audit, financial controls and accounting functions
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• 2 years public accounting or corporate accounting experience.
• Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities of the Accountant

This position is responsible for assisting the finance department management in carrying out

the responsibilities of the finance department. This position is responsible for preparing and

reporting financial data according to GAAP and in accordance within the established financial

reporting cycles.

• Reconcile general ledger accounts
• Other accounting or administrative tasks as requested by direct Manager
• Allocate costs to various cost centers
• Prepare journal entries
• Prepare monthly and ad-hoc financial analysis and reports
• Track prepaid and accrued expenses
